Reading Wales Month has been full of surprises with many people finding authors and books that are new to me. I hope you’ve spotted titles you’d love to add to your TBR — – maybe in time for ReadingWales26??

Just to give you some more temptation though, I asked a fellow book blogger from Wales to tell me about her favourite novels by Welsh authors. Kath who blogs at NutPress exceeded my expectations! I thought she’d just list five or six but she’s actually come up with a list of twelve titles. They cover a range of genres — – from the psychological thriller of Girl in the Red Coat by Kate Hamer to Affinity by Sarah Waters which is a tale of a disgraced spiritualist serving time in prison.

Some of the books on Kath’s list would also make it onto mine (we’re both fans of Caryl Lewis and Alis Hawkins) but she’s surprised me with a few new names.

Take a look at Kath’s post via the link in the image below to see if she can surprise and tempt you too.

  1. I hadn’t heard of any of the titles on her list, so that’s great for next year (not that I can’t read Wales at other times!)

    1. That’s true, you don’t have to wait for March 2026 to read some fiction from Wales!

  2. Sorry I ended up not ining in – so many books, so little time! And unfortunately, Kath has given me further ideas….

    1. I know the feeling, I so wanted to do Reading Ireland and I did in fact manage to read a book, just never got around to reviewing it
