I have a Welsh adjacent post – that is, it is about travelling in Wales by non-Welsh authors – https://bronasbooks.com/2025/03/31/observations-on-the-river-wye-1782-william-gilpin/

I squeezed in a short review of Clear by Carys Davies if you want to add it on:

Thanks Cathy, this was a popular choice. I’ve now added to the master list

I’m not sure where to link my reviews for Reading Wales – so I hope this is ok. It has taken me most of the month to read the books I chose – one for Reading Ireland and two for Reading Wales! And I’m on the last hours posting my reviews – all long books!

First one for Wales – Resistance by Owen Sheers – https://booksplease.org/2025/03/30/resistance-by-owen-sheers/

The second book is My Beautiful Imperial by Rhiannon Lewis, which I only finished yesterday and I’m still writing my review – link to follow!

And here’s my link to My Beautiful Imperial – https://booksplease.org/2025/03/31/my-beautiful-imperial-by-rhiannon-lewis/

Just a short post I’m afraid that doesn’t do justice to the book!

Well you’ve done better than I have since I still have two reviews to write!

I need to make it easier for people when I do this event next year. Anyway, rest assured you’re links will be added to the master list.

Thanks Rebecca – a memoir of a hill farmer is an unusual choice. Just read your review and was surprised to find there’s a connection between North Wales and North China!

Thanks so much for getting involved Frances. I’m loving the variety of the literature that people are discovering.
